tally ("we", "us") operates the tally mobile and web application. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

Account data — email address and authentication credentials used to create your account.
List and item data — shopping lists, items, and prices you enter.
Wallet data — loyalty card names and barcodes, gift card balances you record.
Usage data — feature interactions used to improve the product (no third-party analytics).

3. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to operate tally — syncing lists across household members, storing wallet items, and providing budget summaries. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

List contents are shared with other members of your shared list by design. We use Supabase as our database and authentication provider; your data is stored in their infrastructure. No other third parties receive your personal data.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at hello@tally.rs.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@tally.rs.

7. Cookies and local storage

tally uses browser local storage to keep you signed in between sessions. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of tally after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
